Equifax Offers Lenders Support on Mods

Lenders whose borrowers are eligible for modification as part of the Bush administration's mortgage relief plan can seek help from Equifax Inc. A new service by the credit bureau allows lenders to take advantage of its "income and employment, creditworthiness and equity position data." Lenders also will benefit from Equifax's acquisition of Talx Corp.'s Work Number income-verification service earlier this year.
