Home builders believe market conditions are deteriorating, with the National Association of Home Builders/Wells Fargo housing market index down to 18 in June from 19 in May and 20 in April. Of the 390 builders polled, index readings show that more than 50 percent say current sales are poor. Additionally, half anticipate poor sales during the coming six months.
